Thankfully, trade-in values are one of many feathers in Toyota’s cap. In fact, the brand earned Kelley Blue Book’s (KBB.com) 2025 Best Resale Value Brand title for the eighth time in nine years!
In its analysis, Kelley Blue Book broke down which cars have the best resale value in several individual categories. The automotive research company also created a Top 10 list, which records the best value-retaining vehicles across all brands and car types.
Here’s a breakdown of the nine Toyota models that were recognized.
Best midsize pickup truck and No. 1 overall: 2025 Toyota Tacoma
KBB.com’s estimated 5-year resale value: 64.1%
Make way for the 2025 Toyota Tacoma! Not only does it have the best resale value among midsize pickup trucks, but its stunning 5-year retention rate of 64.1% also took the No. 1 spot overall!
The Tacoma was redesigned in 2024, gaining a new platform, new powertrain options in the i-FORCE and i-FORCE MAX, and a comfortable modern interior. That’s part of why it also won KBB.com’s 2025 Best Buy Award in the midsize pickup truck category!

Called “infinitely practical and ever-reliable” by KBB.com, the 2025 Toyota Sienna snatched the top spot for minivans when it comes to retaining value — its fifth consecutive win. After five years, its resale value remains 47.3%.
